This evening James appears to be comfortable and resting well.
He is getting more antibiotics after developing a fever this afternoon. It could be a result of another infection. Cultures have been taken to the lab to help determine the cause.
As his lungs have slowly grown stronger, the ventilator support has been decreased. They are still working to regulate his blood pressure with medication.
He is still sedated and on pain medication. However, he has some awareness, occasionally opens his eyes, moves his head & arms, and seems to respond to basic commands/instruction.
With some awareness, it is difficult to see my brother so helpless. Regardless, the improvement he has made over the last week is truly a miracle.
Please keep Jimmy in your thoughts and prayers.
Our thoughts are with Jim. All the best.
