2/24 Thursday

James is doing well today.

He has not had the tracheostomy. They have been waiting for an operating room to become available all afternoon. There were a lot of emergencies at the hospital today that caused the delay. They are rescheduling James for surgery tomorrow.

He has responded well to dialysis, and will now only receive it periodically, as needed.

He is now being kept in a lighter sedation. This is beginning to give him some mental awareness. Today he responded to Stephanie and Barbara's voices by moving his head from side to side. He also wiggled his toes when requested.

This is all very good news. The positive trend continues.

Good job Jimmy, there are so many people pulling for you!
