Today is a good day!
James has now successfully been placed on the trach mask and is breathing on his own.
He is now off all sedation, and off all medication, except for insulin.
Today he is alert and completely aware. He is trying to talk, so we are trying to read his lips. It is truly amazing!
If things continue to go so well, his next stop could be a speciality rehabilitation hospital in Zanesville. He could be referred by the end of the week.
Jimmy is a winner!
