3/21 Monday

James is doing very well with rehab at Dodd Hall.

Yesterday he was visited by our mother, Aunt Sue and Uncle Burton.  Victoria also visited with Jimmy this weekend.  He is in good spirits and is very talkative. It appears that he will need little speech therapy, so the focus will be on occupation and physical therapy.

Although it will take some time for him to build his strength back up fully, he is able to walk without the walker now.

He is still on schedule to complete rehab at Dodd at the end of this month.  Those days will pass fast, then it is back to Marietta for James.  The options in Marietta will be, Harmar Place, my house or our parents house.  This will depend on how things go through the end of the month.

Thank you all for the tremendous support for James.

  4. Jimmy also walked over a thousand feet on Friday. He is working very hard and is just as social at Dodd as he was at Kroger. There is another guy there named Mike who doesn't talk to anyone. When Jimmy wallis into the cafeteria he says, "Hey Mike!" and Mike picks up his head and says, "Hi, Jim." Jimmy is the only one there who can get him to talk.
