Critical but still stable. No real improvement over the last few days.
EXCEPT FOR....
This morning, as part of their normal procedure, they took him off the paralytic to see how his body would respond. This does not mean waking him up to where he would have awareness of anything.
They tried this a couple of days ago and he did not respond well.
However, today his vitals stayed within a reasonable range. They are hoping to keep him off of it for 24 hours. If so, this is very good news. A person cannot be on a paralytic long term without other serious complications forming.
Right now he has been off it since around 8:30am this morning. They are trying to not disturb him and have the lights in his room dim and are keeping quiet around him. So far, so good.
He is not awake and does not know when anyone is there...
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
